Community Support

Building on peoples' goals, interests and abilities, Community Living North Grenville serves over 110 people with an intellectual disability so that they can live meaningful lives in the community. To work, volunteer, participate in recreational activities, and to shop at local businesses:

It is our belief “that all persons live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community and have the opportunity to participate effectively”. Every day the community of North Grenville and surrounding areas joins us in making this belief a reality. Every day, people we support are treated as valued as employees, volunteers, team members, and friends.

We use our network of more than 50  local partners to help match volunteers and job seekers with opportunities in our community. The people we support use these opportunities to secure jobs of all kinds, excel as volunteers and do placements with local businesses to complete training and acquire work experience.

The people we support are free to pursue further education, hobbies, and recreational activities in the community. To paint, garden, knit, bowl, play darts, swim, sing, learn, exercise, cook, skate, fish, take pictures, read, collect coins, dance, throw birthday parties, and simply belong.
