"Community Living North Grenville is an organization that is interested in constantly changing the way it does business to keep in touch with the needs of people with an intellectual disability. It is an organization that is interested in an outcomes approach to quality improvement."

The above philosophy was adopted by CLNG a number of years ago. The next step to that process was putting that statement into action.

To begin the process support staff were asked to participate in an interview process with someone who receives services from CLNG. During this interview they ask people questions that focus on the items and issues that matter most to people in their lives. Once these questions were answered support staff then began the job of matching services to the desired outcomes. This meant that traditional approaches to service were changed and services were now directed by the people who were receiving the service. A question that support staff are now asking people is "What can I do for you today?"
