CLNG Awarded 3-year CARF Accreditation

Community Living North Grenville — November 18, 2013

CARF International announced that Community Living North Grenville has been accredited for a period of three years for its, Community Housing, Community Transition Services, Community Integration, Respite Services, and Supported Living programs and Governance. This is the second consecutive three year accreditation that the international Accrediting body has awarded to Community Living North Grenville.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the Association’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.

Community Living North Grenville is a non-profit Association with offices at 2830 County Road 43, Kemptville, and 130 Wellington St., Merrickville Ontario. It has been providing employment, residential, day support, respite, community housing, community transition and Integration services in the Grenville County North area since 1967.

CARF is an independent, non-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.

CARF awarded Community Integration with Exemplary Performance in regards to the Personal Empowerment Group and the work/education that happens there.
